In 2005 the Smithsonian Institute had a traveling exhibit titled Barn Again! Arrangements were made for the exhibit to come to the newly remodeled Freight Room at the P&IN Railway Depot.  This spurred some members of the Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) to document the historic barns in Meadows Valley, Idaho before they faded away as some had already done.

This book documents, in black and white photographs, the historic barns of the valley beginning with one as early as 1889.  Most are on working ranches and in use.  Using the same protocol to date all barns the committee endeavored to provide a record of some of the history of Meadows Valley.  Along with the photos is a biography of ownership past and present.
