2013 brings about the 150 year anniversary of the Idaho Territory.
The Adams County Historical Society will participate in this celebration with a interpretive exhibit about Packer John’s Cabin, William Wallace, the first Governor of the new Idaho Territory, it’s history and the people, trails, mining and music that formed the territorial. This exhibit is made possible by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council.
Along with the Exhibit, open July 13, 2013 through late fall, there will be special workshops, presentations, and events pertaining to territorial history throughout the spring, summer and fall. Be sure to check the P&IN Depot Website Events Calendar for dates and times of events. The exhibit is free and a great educational opportunity for teachers and their students. Special group tours may be arranged by request during the weekdays.
